Author, Educator Reginald "Reggie" Grant to come to Washington, D.C. for Watkins Award

Washington, D.C. (February 13,2015) - On Friday, February 20, 2015, at 5:30-7pm, Reginald Grant, author of "A Teacher's View. Education in America will discuss and sign copies of his new book at the Watkins Award's Annual VIP Reception in celebration of the young men that will be honored that weekend at the Franklin D. Watkins Memorial Award. The award is presented each year to the nation's top African American male high school scholar athlete. The Award is presented at a Black Tie Gala to be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 6:00 pm, The National Alliance of African American Athletes (The Alliance) will recognize another stellar group of high school athletes from across the nation. The Watkins Award ceremony will be held at the prestigious Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill, in Washington DC.
